TV Stand with Ash Veneer, by Steve and Wood

He's one of those YouTubers who makes us want to get our hands dirty! Steve from Steve and Wood brings us a superb creation and a beautiful example of using ash veneer!

To give a personal and warm touch to a TV stand, Steve added a console made of Okoumé plywood covered with ash veneer from our region. It makes you want to look at the furniture more than the TV, doesn't it?

For beginners:

The video editing and its fast pace could make you think that Steve was a bit cavalier about his creation, but that's not the case. At 1:12 minutes, Steve cuts the veneer oversized and then adjusts it after gluing.

Steve's dexterity could be called into question at 1:25 minutes, for gluing with vinyl glue, it is preferable to glue the support to prevent the veneer from rolling up on itself and complicating the process.

For gluing with neoprene glue, I personally prefer to use a wooden block, the edge of which has been slightly rounded, and to push with both hands to crush the two layers of glue as hard as possible.

Keep in mind that there are thousands of different methods to achieve the same result: the best is the one with which you feel most comfortable!
